I have found that taking the time to set up the room nicely with little touches like sweet treats, changing the room layout, fun welcome signs and always having music playing when they walk in really helps get everyone's heads out of their "to do" lists and hopefully moving closer to an alpha state of mind. I find it good to keep it fresh and change up what I do, as I'm in a small market, so they are surprised and delighted by it.
